Meet the Team
Jack Smith is a strategic communications veteran with 25 years of experience. He has worked in the media as an award-winning writer and editor and in the public and private sectors as a strategic communications and PR consultant.
Smith has strong expertise in strategic communications for high-profile organizations, having served in various roles for the Auburn University Athletics Department, including Senior Associate Athletics Director for Communication.
Smith has provided proactive media, executive and crisis communication strategies to a variety of clients, from nationally known coaches and medical professionals to mayors and university presidents.
Smith’s expertise and experience includes strategic communications planning, executive communications and crisis communications. His approach to proactive communication and strategic use of social media has attracted interest from others in the industry, and he has spoken at conferences on the subject. He has also served as an adjunct professor in the communications department at Auburn University. He is the proud father of three children, and he enjoys photography and music.

Mary Nice is a marketing strategist who has led and been a part of digital marketing programs for companies such as Disney, Unilever, Kraft Foods, and Kimberly Clark.
Prior to starting her consulting practice, Mary held the position of Digital Marketing Director at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, where she led a range of digital initiatives, including digital marketing strategy, digital marketing analytics, social media listening and community management.
Prior to Disney, Mary was an early member of the innovative and successful digital practice at Edelman Public Relations – the world’s largest PR firm. While at Edelman, Mary worked on various projects for AXE, HP, Ben & Jerry's and SC Johnson, among others.
Mary spends much of her passion-project time consulting with Auburn University, her alma mater, as president of the advisory committee for the Public Relations program and an active member on the Auburn Athletics Public Relations Council. She resides in Orlando with her husband, John, and two dogs, Sugar and Deuce.

Margaret Stewart graduated from Auburn University in December 2017 with a degree in Sports Journalism. Throughout her time at Auburn, Margaret involved herself by serving in four on-campus leadership roles and two honor societies, recruiting as a football team hostess and playing on the Women’s Lacrosse team.
Prior to her graduation, Margaret will have accrued over two years of professional experience in the Communications and Public Relations fields. Margaret’s specialties include content creation, social media management and website development; but her first love is storytelling. Her refined writing skills and love of client relations make her an excellent addition to the J&M team as a Communications Specialist.
